How
can you go wrong with Captain America as a guest-star? You can't
in my opinion. This is another example of a great episode.
I love the consistancy as in previous episodes Bobby has mentioned how
much he admires Captain America and we finally see his admiration turn
into blind allegience to the hypnotized hero. Here is another example
of how the sub-plots make the show. The storyline about Iceman needing
an interview with a Super-Hero for one of his classes was fun and really
made the episode one of my favorites.
What
he said. Captain America. The Kingpin. Good good stuff.
If it had charmed me a bit more, I'd give it four stars. Still, it's
a highlight in the series...and has one of the show's most classic moments:
Iceman's solution to his accidental destruction of his Captain America
interview. [Which was edited out of the UPN & ABC FAMILY airings. Grrr!] This episode cinched my fondness for Iceman and started an
obsessive quest by my 8 year old self to try and find anything 'Iceman'
related, of which there was NOTHING! (Boy...marketing people have learned
A LOT since those days.) Oh yeah...the voice of the Kingpin (Walker
Edmiston): PERFECT!
A fun episode but more one for the boys. I liked the superhero
show at ESU at the beginning of the episode and Bobby’s hero worship of
Captain America is well played out, and is especially appreciated because it
remains consistent with previous episodes. Like Mark and Jon, I love the
fact that Bobby ends up interviewing himself for his school's superhero
assignment!
