Very
enjoyable episode for me. Great to see Dr. Doom outside of a Fantastic
Four story. Lots of action in this one and the story runs at
a great pace. Fun to watch a guy who doesn't quite grasp his full
potential be manipulated by Doom. Even Aunt May realizes that Mr.
Frump seems to be at a loss with what to do with his powers. All
around it is clear after this episode that Spider-Man fans were going to
be in for a real treat every Saturday Morning.
"Rainbows
& pretty clouds"?!? ARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!! This is one of my
LEAST favorite episodes. As an 8 year old, I thought this was for
the 'under 6' crowd. Old man Frump is the human equivalent of Ms.
Lion: OUT OF PLACE IN A SPIDER-MAN CARTOON! The concept is just too
silly, especially for Doctor Doom to be the villain, and it makes it hard
for me to judge it beyond that. I still hate that this was the only
episode that Doom appeared in. Ugh.
Sorry
Jon, I think I agree more with Mark regarding this episode. Although
never one of my favourites I still enjoyed it. As a child I liked the general
concept of this particular story; the idea that if magical powers were
bestowed upon you, you could conjure the world to your liking. In defense
of the rainbows and pretty colours, what can I say, as a little girl I
thought they were great! This episode more than held my attention.
