This was one of my favorites and I know I am not alone amongst Spider-Friends fans.  Everyone is sent to an island and one by one they all disappear; many of them possibly dead.  Even though this plot isn't exactly original it was a well written tribute to Agatha Christie's novel (which has been made into movies and TV movies more times than I can remember).  All these Superheroes in one show...it was fantastic!  And using the Chameleon was great because, I believe at the time, he really hadn't made very many comic book appearances in the then 20 year Marvel history.  I loved the ending where it's just Spidey and he breaks free of his trap and discovers everyone is alive only to discover the whole island is going to blow up.  Then, when they all escape and almost leave Ms. Lion behind...even those who consider Ms. Lion a silly idea had a tear in their eye when it looked like she might not make it off the island.

The mother load!  THIS WAS A COMIC BOOK FAN'S DELIGHT!  I was totally FLOORED upon first watching this episode simply because of the number of characters in it, and as a kid, this was probably my favorite episode. Captain America would have been enough to thrill me, but they squeezed in Sub-Mariner, Dr. Strange and the Chameleon, voiced by the great Hans Conried (Peter Pan's Captain Hook), to boot!  (Aww...who cares about Shanna.)   Upon extended viewing this doesn't hold up as well with age to me, but the hokiness of the Chameleon's dialogue is good fun!  For the record Mark, when it looked like Ms. Lion may die at the end, if there was a tear in my eye then it was from hope, not sadness.

I completely agree with Mark and Jon and I can’t imagine that there is a Spidey and Friends fan anywhere in the world who didn’t just love this episode as a child.  It truly has all the right elements to make a terrific episode and remains a great classic of the series. Marvel's Spider-Woman show aired a couple of years before the Spider-Friends and I do vaguely recall that as a child I was a little disappointed that Spider-Woman was not included for the superhero line up in this episode. I always thought that it would have made a nice touch.
